






Acting Classes with George Hawkins

George Hawkins is a working agency-represented actor. He graduated with a degree in theatre acting from Florida School of The Arts. He has worked with the Jewish Community Alliance of Jacksonville as an acting instructor, and children's theatre performer, and as an acting coach for students of Bishop Snyder High School. George also lends his talents to many theatre, film and commercial projects. In George's classes, children will learn to use their voice, movement, and expressions to create fun characters, and build confidence, poise, and self-esteem.
Beginning Acting
Ages 5 - 12
Tuesdays 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
$160 for 12 classes

Enrollment Begins December 1st
This class focuses on the basic fundamentals of acting with improv acting games. Students will learn projection, using their body on stage, teamwork, and how to combat nerves. On the last day of class students will perform a brief demonstration of what they have learned.
Advanced Acting
Ages 7 - 17
Tuesdays 6:45 pm - 8:15 pm
$180 for 12 classes
Enrollment Begins December 1st
Advanced acting focuses on character building, audition skills, and scene work. Strong reading skills are recommended for this class; students will be expected to read out loud in front of the class often. On the last day of class, students will perform their scenes and monologues.
Acting On Camera
Ages 8 - 17
Thursdays 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
$210 for 12 classes
Enrollment Begins December 1st
The camera eliminates the space between the performer and the audience. In this class, students will learn the differences between stage acting and camera acting. They'll learn film set processes, etiquette, and expectations. Each week students will record different scenes in a variety of genres and anayze their performances with the class. Students will receive a reel of their work on a thumb drive at the end of the 12 weeks.
