SPRING Camp 2020

March 9th - 13th

art, dance, music, crafts, movies, games, outdoor play and more!

9:00 am - 3:05 pm

$40.00 per day or $150 for all five days

$10 Early Camp 7:30 am - 9:00 am

$10 Late Camp 3:05 pm - 5:30 pm

For Ages 5 - 10 years. Children are split into groups usually based on their age. (5-7 and 8-10) In some cases, a younger child will be moved to the older group, or an older child to the younger group if their behavior or level of interest shows that they would be better suited in a different group.

If you have more than one child enrolling and they are in different age groups, but you would like them to be together, we will accommodate your request. However, they will be put into whichever group they fit into based on the number of kids enrolled in each group, and may be moved to a different group if the numbers change.

Morning drop off begins at 8:50 am, children dropped off prior to 8:50 must be enrolled in early camp.

Pick up time is 3:05 pm. Any child not picked up by 3:15 pm is considered in Late Camp and you will be expected to pay an additional $10 for Late Camp.

Late Camp ends at 5:30 pm, you may receive a phone call if you have not picked up your child by 5:40 pm.  Please try to keep in mind that camp staff members also have families and other obligations.

We understand that sometimes emergencies come up. If you are not able to pick up your child at the scheduled time, please call the director at 904-389-1751 or text 904-383-7629 with as much advance notice as possible so that we can arrange something.

All children attending camp must be potty trained and able to use the restroom without assistance. This includes the ability to know when they need to go and the ability to ask permission if it is not a designated bathroom break time.

Children will be given the opportunity and encouraged to use the restroom at the beginning of camp during our morning gathering (9:00-9:15 am) during snack time  (10:15-10:35 am) during playground time and lunch (11:35 am-12:35 pm) and during 2nd playground time (1:35-1:55 pm). They will also be allowed to use the restroom at any time during class if they ask politely.

We want you to have the right expectations. Arts camp is not babysitting, but it is also not school. We understand that kids are on their spring break and want to have fun.  Fun is what this art camp is intended to be.

The program is not as detailed and in-depth as our regular 12-week classes. Kids will be encouraged to participate in a variety of visual and performing arts activities. Some of these activities include dancing, singing, acting, drawing, painting, crafts, and music.  Since not all students attend all five days of the camp, they will not be producing fine art or studying in-depth music theory during this five-day camp. Think of it as a preview of what the 12-week classes have to offer.

We will try our best to get every student to engage in all of the activities.  However, sometimes kids just aren't interested in what is happening, and would rather just watch the other kids, color, or read a book.  That is okay!

There is a behavioral contract that every parent or guardian must sign upon enrollment in any camp or class at RCAC.  This was put into place to make sure that the children who are interested in participating may do so in a safe and distraction-free environment.

If you have questions about this please feel free to call or text.

We are always trying to improve our communication.  Every effort will be made to keep you informed of what is happening at camp.  But feel free to text during the day to get updates, or request a picture of your child at camp.

The number to text is 904-383-7629
